Lately my phone has been ringing off the hook and my email box is filling up. Countless IDENTICAL emails promoting WebProsperity.

It’s as if the principles of network marketing have been suspended.

So here’s why I wouldn’t dream of joining WebProsperity–until at least the vultures fly off.

Folks, please listen here. If you’re even contemplating WebProsperity, NEVER pitch anyone on a network marketing opportunity without first establishing a relationship. After all these years, it’s still a SECRET, apparently. People buy from people they TRUST.

Ask yourself this: would you buy from someone who chooses not to compose their own emails, assuming you knew about it? How worthy is that person of your money?

You’ve surely heard them all: MLM is a scam, a scheme, illegal. Be a part of restoring professionalism to your industry.

Now we get to the irony. My initial glance at the WebProsperity products looks promising. And the compensation plan could even be good. But until the marketing animal resembles something more approachable than a skunk, my suggestion is to keep your reputation.

Unless, of course you’re JUST looking at this from a customers’ perspective. If that’s the case, by all means, dive in! Just make sure the person you join knows how to write their own emails…

On the PPC Coach main page, you’ll have access to the videos. These videos are Camtasia screencasts created and narrated by PPC Coach himself. I really like the fact that Coach shows real life examples which he uses to explain the topic he’s describing. Most of the videos range from 15-20 minutes long, and they cover everything from keyword research, to creating landing pages, to using the PPC-Coach tools, and more.

The tools are another reason why PPC Coach is so valuable. Landing Site Generator is a php script that allows you to create landing pages for your campaigns almost automatically. All you need to do is tweak a few variables in the script and your landing page is ready to go. This is a really good way to get started with the Month 1 method.

Youll also get access to the Keyword Tracking System tool which allows you to track a several variables of your PPC campaigns including gross margin, roi and epc for each campaign, adgroup and keyword. Theres the Adwords Magic Tool, which is a web based tool that allows you to input a keyword, and it will spit out thousands of variations in under 30 seconds. Youll save a lot of time using this one. These are just a sampling of the tools accessible to you as a PPC-Coach member.

There are some things that PPC Coach could improve on. For one thing, the main site itself does not look all that appealing. Its kind of spartan and a little disorganized. A lot of the info on the main site is kind of sparse. For example, the Quick Start Guide is kind of useless. I wish it had active links to some of the great content on the forums.

Another downside I see is that there is no trial period for the service. If you dont like what PPC-Coach offers, then theres no way to get your money back. Fortunately, I think the quality of the PPC Coach service is good enough that youll probably not have to worry about this.

Finally, I would say that PPC-Coach is more aimed towards those new to PPC marketing. The month 1 method is not particularly innovative and Im sure seasoned PPC veterans have tried this method before. Still, these types of people may find more value in the community and the tools.

The blog is updated regularly more often then not. Updated information is a magnet for search engine robots. Use Article Marketing

Traditionally, business based blogs were set up to enhance relationships with customers and clients. Naturally, the old time bloggers object to this comment, stating that they are not for business purposes. Of course, if you’re reading this blog, I’m sure you’re at an advanced enough stage that we can discuss the idea of making money from blogging.

Many “business blogging” experts will usually tell you never to sell on your blog. Blogging is about building relationships they say. Well, that’s fair enough - relationships do need to be built and it’s nice to make new friends - but I started blogging to build my business, and I don’t intend to stop anytime soon.

If You Never Tell Them What it is You Offer, How Will They Ever Know?

It doesn’t really make much sense to me if you’re simply going to blog for the sake of it, and not make any offers at the end of the post. I guess some people think that simply stuffing a load of ads in the sidebar is going to make money. Unfortunately people rarely click these ads so that is a misconception. People read your blog because they are interested in what it is you have to say. If you’re not going to tell people what you have to offer to the world, how on earth are they going to know?

Making offers in the context of your posts makes the most sense. Tell them while they are listening and engaged in what you have to say. Of course, I’m not saying that every blog post needs to be a full-on pitch (but go ahead, make some pitch posts sprinkled in with the great content), but include some kinds of business-building call-to-action in a large percentage of your entries.

If you have your own information product, e-zine or membership site that’s fits the subject you are blogging about, be sure to mention it.

Do you have your own product that fits with the subject you’re blogging about? If so, mention it.

If you know another company that sells a great product solution, link to it with an affiliate link.

Your blog visitors can’t read your mind, and tend to come to your site because they like you. People want to know what is the current status of things, and what you have to offer currently. Do not assume that your readers already know everything you have to offer, and will look for further information when they feel like it. This is not how it works - you need to show them exactly what products you have.

Strangely enough, some intuitive visitors have worked out how I make money from my blog (tee hee).

And Yes, YOU Should be Using This Technique!

Don’t try and tell me that writing in this way is only suitable for “Internet marketing” blogs like mine, as this simply isn’t the case. If there are products related to your field, and you have visitors that enjoy reading your posts, selling can be incorporated into your blog.

So, should you start selling your blog? Whether Covertly, or blatantly obvious… selling doesn’t suddenly turn you into a door-to-door salesman. It simply means you are someone who can relate to your visitors problems, and can offer honest recommendations or solutions.

CSS is a considerably more complex technology than HTML and using CSS to control the layout of your pages requires experience. Fortunately for us, Dreamweaver contains a wide variety of CSS layouts which can be used for creating both individual pages and also templates which can then be used to generate multiple pages.

To use Dreamweaver’s CSS layouts, simply choose New from the File menu. The New Document window shows you all the different types of web page that Dreamweaver is capable of creating. These are arranged in categories and the preset CSS layouts are available both in the Blank Page and Blank Template categories.

If you choose the option “None” in the Layout column, no CSS file will be created; Dreamweaver will simply give you a blank HTML or XHTML page. Clicking on the name of each of the preset layouts displays a preview on the right. This gives you a rough idea of what the layout will look like. There are three column, two column and single column layouts available. These layouts use certain jargon that you may find confusing such as elastic, fixed liquid and hybrid. We will discuss these terms in another tutorial. At the moment, we are just concerned with creating an HTML page which is driven by one of Dreamweaver’s CSS layouts.

Having chosen a CSS layout, before clicking on the “Create” button you need to specify the manner in which the CSS code will be linked to the HTML document. Next to the option labelled “Layout CSS” is a drop-down menu containing three options: “Add to Head” will place all of the CSS code inside the HTML document in the head section; as the name suggests, “Add to New File”, will create a new external CSS file containing all the necessary code; “Link to Existing File” will put the CSS code in an existing CSS file you designate. The final option is useful if you are adding the page to an existing site that already has a CSS file which you want to continue using.

As a general rule of thumb, it is usually preferable to place the CSS in an external file since this offers you greater flexibility in reusing the CSS rules contained in the file. If you don’t have an existing CSS file, you should choose “Create New File” and then click the Create button. Dreamweaver will prompt you to select a location for the CSS file and will suggest a name, such as ” twoColElsLtHdr.css”. Feel free to enter a more meaningful name. When you click on the Save button, Dreamweaver will generate both the HTML and CSS pages.
