Getting The Most Out of An Article Submission Service

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Are you looking for ways to get the best results possible from using an article submission service to automate your article submissions?

Improve your article submissions service chances with these 5 tips:

1. Submit Properly Formatted Articles - Make your articles readable by splitting your larger paragraphs into smaller ones; this makes it seem that your submission isn’t automated.

You also have to make sure that the article submission service you use formats your article properly. some article directories, like EzineArticles, use human reviewers and will reject submissions that do not use paragraphing appropriately.

2. Don’t Overuse Article Keywords - For the most part, article submissions services aren’t going to put limits on the keyword percentages in your articles, but you might arouse suspicion if your article has too many keywords in the text or in related fields.

Don’t put more than 6 keywords in your article.

3. Avoid Article Content Links - If an article directory sees a link in your main content, it’ll probably be rejected.

In the case of article submission services, you won’t be checked for links before the article is submittted. Therefore, it’s up to you to get any links out of the body text before you submit it.

4. Exercise Proper Category Submission - A lot of times, people forget that they can submit articles to whatever category they want to.

For the most part, article submission services show you a generic topic that your article can go under, like site promotion, but you won’t be able to specify your topic any further than that.

Since this happens, your article might just end up in the wrong topic, or in a category that’s not specific enough to be found by the people who really matter - your potential customers or leads.

5. Make Your Content Unique - If your content is interesting and original, you’ll be much more likely to get click-throughs to your website. As a result, don’t just slap the first paragraph in the synopsis box next time you submit.

It is vital to also remember that effective use of an article submission service requires you to create quality articles.

How To Be An Exceptional SEO!

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Many of the webmasters with exceptional SEO skills work in many different fields. In addition to working with search engine optimization, they may also work with affiliate programs or other internet marketing strategies. To keep their techniques secret from others, those that are successful with SEO will generally not attach themselves to their websites. The reputation of a webmaster does play an important role in SEO, but it is not that important.

Sometimes the webmasters who are very successful with SEO will become famous. This could be do to them suddenly becoming millionaires or selling their site to a large corporation. After these people become well known, they may promote strategies which work well for them, but not for others. The tactics which bring one person success may not work well for others. People are different, and will need to accomplish things in different ways. At the same time, there are two thing which can bring you success with SEO. These two things are links and content.

When you look at SEO, this is what is important. If you ask different masters what it takes to be successful with SEO, you will get a number of different answers. Some will tell you that links are the most important factor. Others will tell you that having content is what will bring you the most success. In reality, all of these things are right. Placing an emphasis on one or the other is not likely to help you succeed. By mastering different areas of SEO, you will be able to succeed. However, it is important to remember that success doesn’t stop with SEO. Those who succeed must also know how to reach their visitors. SEO will only allow you to reach the search engines. This alone won’t bring you success.

Many webmaster succeed at SEO only to find that they’ve failed at other aspects of internet marketing. If you want to build a successful business, you must master multiple areas. This is what many SEO experts forget to tell you. Those who are really successful wil be reluctant to reveal their true techniques. One thing you can be certain of is that limiting yourself to one area will not bring about success.

Article Marketing - Why You Should Only Submit Unique Content

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Writing and submitting articles has been an increasingly popular way to market products and web sites. It can be a very effective way to create inbound links to your web sites, but only if it is done the right way!

It is a low cost - but a very time consuming task to write and submit articles to maybe hundreds of article directories and eZine directories. To simplify your job, you may use of one of the free or paid article marketing software tools.

You write your article carefully, use all the right keywords for your niche, and all the search engine optimization strategies you know, and you also create a compelling author resource. When you have done that, you enter your new article into the article marketing software tool, and hit the Submit button.

Now you get excited, and can’t wait for all the traffic that your article will bring to your website. But you might have to wait for a long time! Maybe this method worked for you earlier on, but it doesn’t anymore.

The rules of the internet change rapidly, so submitting articles doesn’t give you the same results it did a few years ago.

The Problem:

When you submit the same version of your article to all the article directories, you are spreading duplicate content all over the internet. Most of the major search engines now filter out duplicate content, so it doesn’t matter if you have submitted your article to hundreds of article sites, now it may only count as 1 single inbound link to your web site.

The Solution:

Keep submitting articles, but submit only unique versions of each article, because you want to get unique backlinks to your website, or websites. If you submit unique articles once a week or even more frequently, you can have hundreds or thousands of back links pointing to your site within a few weeks or months!

Do you want to learn how I easily submit my unique articles to over a thousand of article directory sites?

Now you will discover how to put your article marketing on steroids once and for all. Find out how to submit unique versions of your articles from now on. This and other unique content ” articles are available with free reprint rights.

Are Directory Submissions Still Effective?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Directory submissions seem to be one of the main ways of building link popularity used by many SEO companies out there. When you pay for a directory submission service, your SEO company submits your URL to 400 or 500 (sometimes 1000) directories out there on the web. SEO companies claim that directory submissions is one of the fastest ways of improving link popularity.

While directory submissions help with your link popularity, the submissions do absolutely nothing as far as increasing the rankings are concerned. There are some websites with only 200 links which are ranking higher than websites with over 3000 links. The reason for the difference in rankings is because one website has trusted inbound links which the other does not.

The first reason why directories pass minimal link juice is because they hold no content, only hold spammy links and have no trust factor. Because of all these reasons, low quality directories are thought of as link farms, which are directly frowned upon by major search engines. Because of the lack of content and spammy links, these directories get quickly devalued and de-indexed from search engines such as Google.

Another reason for the minimal benefit that directories provide is the fact that everyone submits their junk content to them. It is also not hard to imagine each category of a directory to have over 200 outbound links, which severely limits the amount of link juice these directories provide. Also, because directories connect to bad neighborhoods due to spammy links, they lose quality and have to pay a price by getting even more junky links.

Directories also do not provide any traffic to their listed websites because no one uses directories as a reference system like they were used in old times. People normally Google up anything they want to find. Even though directories were thought of as a navigation tool, they do not function that way anymore.

However, there are a few high quality and high PR directories out there i.e. Yahoo Directory and DMOZ, which can provide you with a lot of link juice. The downside for submissions to such directories is that they charge a hefty fee.

In conclusion, my advice to you is to stay away from directory submissions because they can actually hurt (rather than help) your websites.

Writing Effectively For Online Readers

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Here are the most pertinent instructions for selecting right approach for writing extremely good pieces of writing on Internet. You have to put up your articles on sale in case you write for money. You must understand your business better than others who are not required to sell their writings. Our focus here will be on skills needed for writing articles instead of qualities required for selling them.

The Foremost Rule You should write according to the taste of your intended reader, not according to your own personal taste. This means that you need to explore, identify, and target your message towards specific readers with specific interests. For instance, in an article on the financial market you can’t target grandmothers looking for designs of knitting. You need to write your message according to the comprehension of target readers. No one will understand even correct stuff until and unless it is presented properly.

Keep in mind that people who browse the Internet are impatient. They click off the material once they read something that is not pertinent to their cause, and they only linger on an article that they consider important and pleasing.

Before you even put pen to paper, ask yourself this important question: Who are your readers? You will be able to make a decision about type of article you need to write by answering this question. The article may be of any kind such as technical, marketing or philosophical, all which are dissimilar in nature, which is why you must correctly identify your target audience.

You will be able to make a decision about type of article you need to write by answering this question. The article may be of any kind such as technical, marketing or philosophical. All these types are dissimilar in nature.

The Main Approaches The articles on the Internet can be classified into four wide approaches:

- Writing for Selling: Marketing articles often sell commodities or services to woo readers to a web site. The fast-paced speed of these articles are immediately obvious and, for this reason, the content of marketing remains small in size. Keywords are important for selling because they invite readers performing general word searches.

- Technical Writing: This type of writing requires actual facts. The technical aspect is well understood with diagrams. Even if the writing lacks visual aids, descriptions and writing is precise so as to avoid misunderstanding. If you use highly technical words, be aware that a common man would find it difficult to understand. And if the article has more of the style, the people with technical expertise will find it without technical details.

- Trendy Writing: The extensive use of blogs in the recent times has made this writing very popular. The main aspects here are to make the content more appealing and entertaining. This kind of writing should still try to be as straightforward as possible, as well as short and full of quick points. Trendy writing tends to lack details and arguments.

- Intellectual Writing: This writing requires detailed description of a particular field and often makes references from popular books. Intellectual writing is aimed at contributing to a field of study. However, it does not necessarily have to be academic in nature. Good examples of intellectual writing are book reviews and editorial columns.

The Internet is the most popular media for sharing information and, if used in an efficient manner, it can work wonders for you as a reader and writer.

Online Marketing Focus: Article Submissions

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

I like to focus my internet marketing work on the long term benefits of search engine optimization by creating truly useful sites containing original non-scraped content and trying to build as many back links as I can to those domains primarily through the use of article marketing (but I do make use of some other strategies as well.)

Sure you can get much faster results with PPC but Pay Per Click is something you have to always be fiddling with trying to get the best results. And it’s also something where you can lose significant amounts of money very quickly with if you don’t know what you are doing.

You must have more than your share of patience if you are using the article marketing for building links route because it takes some time for the links you are building to effect the organic listings of your target domains.

The key to why article submission services like Unique Article Wizard are so effective is that they let you “spin” your article content so each article that goes “out there” is totally unique. This keeps your backlinks from being devalued as being on “duplicate content” pages.

Unique Article Wizard also give you the ability to “spin” your backlinks so that you can actually get links back with varying anchor texts to various pages all with just one article. This definitely greatly leverages your submission for much better and faster results.

I’ve seen a lot of people who seem to think that getting direct traffic through the use of sites like EZineArticles or Buzzle is all there is to article marketing. And while I do think those sites are worth using, I really like to put my focus more on search engine optimization with article marketing rather than direct traffic through article marketing.

Building links gives you long term placements in Google that will keep on bringing you targeted people your sites for years to come instead of just for a few weeks.

Don’t waste your time promoting any “make money online” products on Clickbank because anyone who buys such products usually buys them through their own Clickbank IDs anyway to get the massive discount that doing that gives them. Instead I advise you to promote products such as “Pull Your Ex Back” in the relationships market or “The Day Off Diet” in the dieting market. You will have lifelong success with these products.

Article Submission Program

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Life is all about choices and how you want to submit your articles is no different. You can choose to spend the time manually submitting your articles or you can choose to submit your articles with an article submission program.

If you are going to manually submit your articles then it is best to write a different article for each directory you submit to. Using duplicate content is a good way to make sure the search engines will not pick up your article and when that happens, you wont get nearly as many viewers.

There is nothing wrong with submitting your articles manually so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It all depends on what you are writing the articles for.

When you are writing articles simply because you like to and want people to hear what you have to say then manually submitting them is an excellent way to do that. But, if you are trying to get a lot of traffic and you need to submit tons of articles then looking into an article submission program might be a good idea.

Article submission programs are great if you have a new site you want to rank high for in the search engines. The more links you have pointing to your site the higher you go and the more articles you have published the more traffic you will get.

You are able to get thousands of links to your site within a few weeks when you use an article submission program. If you were to manually submit your unique articles that could easily take you six months to a years to accomplish.

If you want to use an article submission program to submit your articles for you then be sure that they are not sending the same article out to all of the directories. You’d be surprised at how many of them send out duplicate content for you and if they do youi can kiss your organic traffic goodbye.

Since the more articles you submit the more traffic you receive, your best bet would be to go with one that will allow you unlimited submissions every month. Some sites will charge you per bundle of articles and that can get expensive really quick. Others will only allow you to send out a few articles a month.

In order to spare yourself many headaches in the future, make sure that the article submission program allows you to submit as many articles as you need to and that the articles they send out are unique.

Reciprocal Links and SEO — Is it a Strategy or Hype

Friday, December 26th, 2008

I have researched SEO for years. I have just tried over and over to build one site that I was proud of where I am in Google’s index. I studied SEO from the time the internet started. The gurus were saying at that time it is all about your Meta Tags. I looked at my competition, did good keyword density, and made my meta tags better. I figured I would easily outrank the competition. After months of waiting I saw no results. The best part was some of these sites who were reputable corporations had keywords like XXX and Nudity. They did this to try to capture people searching for those terms, though they were unrelated and probably didn’t convert well, they were free people viewing your website. Even after nearly duplicating sites, I never improved my rankings.

The next thing I noticed is that all sites in a great position had thousands of pages in the Google index. The problem with this is many of my sites are simple sales pages, and I can’t create that much content. I then stumbled across Traffic Booster Pro. This program seemed fantastic. I would generate unique content pages for a site and show them to a search engine, but then redirect the users to my website. I used this and it worked very well until Google crawled my site so much it crashed my data center. My rankings instantly disappeared, and even after the site was back up, and I scaled back the amount Google crawled. My rankings never reappeared. I had be penalized by Google for all the generated content. This was a short lived method to get some traffic and I spent 100 bucks on it.

Then on the advice of some Gurus I decided to start a link exchange. I put code on my site on how to exchange links, and on top of that I joined Linkmarket.net to exchange links. I was able to secure a bunch of links to my site and I built a reciprocal directory with probably 400 partner sites. Guru’s claimed this is how they go their rankings, but after some testing I decided to see if these Guru’s have reciprocal links on their site. Guess what? They didn’t. These guys weren’t using reciprocal links to get those rankings. Once again I saw no results, and had proof that the Guru’s pushing this also saw it as ineffective. I don’t want this to be construed that links don’t help. Look at the results for “click here” on Google. Adobe ranks #1 and click here is not anywhere on their site as a keyword. They just have a bunch of links with that anchor text. However, they are not exchanged links. I haven’t found one site being number one on Google with exchanged links.

The answer to the question is no you should not exchange any links. The two ways to get your site links that impact your rankings is to share information like I do and link bait. The article that you are reading is also helping my rankings. I just write about my experience and knowledge, then distribute it to webmasters who want to constant update their content to get indexed several times a day. I do this several times a day with several topics that have to do with my sites. That is how I get links to my site, without exchanging them. I exchange information for one way links.

There really are two ways like I said. Link bait, and content sharing. Link bait is like the chicken website for Burger King if you can remember that. If you saw it you would remember it was a guy in a chicken suit on video that did stupid things. It ranked Burger King number one for the single word chicken. That is quite a jump. It was people liked it an virally linked to it from their sites. The drawback to link bait is you better be extremely creative, or have someone build link bait for an astronomical price. There is a better way.

Content sharing is what this is. I am writing an article to inform people. This article, if people like it, will be published on several websites for their users to read. A SEO website trying to provide some free advice may post this article as part of their website content. This benefits the webmaster because adding content frequently gets Search Engines to visit more. The way this can help rankings is if you want to make a change to your site, it takes no time for Google to reflect the change. The catch is to use my content they have to use my resource box. My resource box talks about me and gives a link to my site that I want. So I submit this to a bunch of free content directories where webmasters go to find it. When they find it they can publish it, and then I get links. The best part is even if no webmaster out their publishes my articles, the content directories still link to me. I don’t link to anybody on my site, I do still have meta tags, though I don’t feel they are very important, and my site has 3 landing pages that are indexed.

In conclusion, it is not a big site, nor meta tags, nor code for that matter. The best rankings I have received are from writing articles just like these and distributing. Plus it is so much fun to share information with the world through these articles. It is also manual, Google likes to punish folks inflating their results with quick fix scams like getting 1000 links in a day and such. These articles though, Google knows I took the time to write it, so it weights it very nice when it ranks my site. Like I said my basic job for promotion is to share free information, and then link it to my site.
