An enhanced web experience includes visually appealing images, and text that keeps website visitors attentive and focused on a goal. Quality photography, elicits desired responses, delivers key concepts, showcases products and ideas, and drives visitors further into the site towards its goal. The use of high quality pictures attracts attention, and maintains visitor focus. Web pages that load efficiently maintain visitor engagement, and give them the desire to further explore the site. An enhanced online experience results from efficiently loading web pages.
Quality photography gives potential guests their first glimpse of a website. This is the first opportunity to influence their decisions. A positive first impression increases the likelihood visitors remain and explore, or simply move on to another site. Thus, pictures are a key factor to ensure visitors remain at a website, and should motivate them to further explore its content. Quality pictures capture visitor attention making them more apt to stay and explore site content.
Placement of photographs on websites is much like the placement of items in storefront window displays. The items on display beckon passersby to enter. Website photography invites online visitors to explore site pages.
Photographs can play a key role in persuasion on sites that communicate ideas, opinions, or aim to influence others. Visitors typically act on perceptions and first impressions, and often look first, then read. Photography of high quality enhances perception and first impressions making persuasion easier.
Imagery holds the power professional marketers and advertisers rely on. It is the force that drives persuasion and sales. If a website sells products, quality photos will be a primary factor in sales. Buyers want to see up-close views of things they want.
Pictures are like power-tools on websites. Online imagery can wow visitors, drive them further into a site, and convert casual onlookers into agreement, and/or influence their buying habits. Once a site has elicited the conversion of an onlooker to buy or believe, a smooth, efficient, direction towards the goal is the ideal experience. Pages need to load efficiently to keep users on the site’s pages. They do not want to wait for pages to load!
High resolution photographs are large, and loading time is extremely slow. They have much higher image quality, but significantly increase user wait time. Web browsers do not handle large files efficiently causing a user’s attention and focus to be interrupted.
Photographs optimized for smallest possible size (fastest loading files) while preserving the highest possible visual quality (resolution) produce the best online visitor experience. Savings of a few kilobytes on each picture can significantly increase speed at which an entire page will load, especially if the user views the page over a slow connection. Users with faster connection speeds expect quality photography with quickly loading pages that appear almost instantaneously.
The use of quality photography plays a key role in enhancing the online user’s experience. Powerful imagery sells and persuades which adds value to a website. Photographs enhance the web experience by providing best visual quality, powerful first impressions, and efficient browser loading. High quality pictures elicit a conversion response, and keep visitor attention focused on the site’s goal.

Need to add more special effects to your pictures? This specific tutorial is going to guide you through step-by-step with a few How to Photoshop tips, to help you add some amazing looking effects on your digital pictures.
Well, you may find it helpful to implement a masking on your picture to decide on which areas you wish to modify and leave untouched before you apply any of these computer graphics. You could make a soft fade between your areas using effects put in the ones devoid of. This is what’s called masking and can be carried out in many different ways. One way is termed the “quick mask setting”, as spelled out below,-
Find the button referred to as “modify in quick mask mode” inside your Adobe Photoshop software package. It looks just like a circle within a rectangular shape located near the bottom of the main tool bar. There’s also a short-cut key: Q. And once in quick mask setting, it is possible to choose and deselect parts by painting them with black and white correspondingly, while using regular brush device. For the best precision, zoom to 100 or Two hundred %. You can use a soft-edged brush to avoid hard edges. Once you are finished, exit the actual masking mode and head to “Select - Feather” and establish the feather radius at around 5-10 pixels. You can set your opacity to anyplace between 0 and 100%, enabling you to add the effect stronger or weaker in one part of the picture than in another.
Nevertheless moving forward, and slightly more complicated is incorporating a layer mask. This lets you apply virtually any effect progressively from any point within your picture. Comply with these How To steps in Photoshop:
1) Choose “Windows - Layers”.
2) Right click the layer and select “Duplicate layer”.
3) Click on the small symbol at the base in the layer box referred to as “Add layer mask”.
4) Select the “Gradient tool” in the principal tool box.
5) Select a gradient type in the top “Options” bar.
6) Just click the graphic around the position you really don’t desire to adjust, and then drag a button away to the point where you wish the total effect to occur. The effect are going to be carried out gradually increasingly more all along this line you’ve now designed.
7) Finally, go back to your primary background layer and apply any effect you want. It will implement the effect in a smooth, gradual way. Make use of opacity to change the effect down to below complete strength if you’d prefer.
It is possible to add “Gaussian blur” while using layer masking outlined above which can make the chosen locations appear soft-focused, as if you had employed a large-aperture zoom lens. By using “Curves” you can create your corners darker in comparison to the center, reproducing the zoom lens effects called vignetting. Technically, vignetting is considered a zoom lens disorder, but subjectively it may bring an extra experience to your photograph, developing a kind of framework which will take a “sucking” influence, drawing more attention into the center of the picture. You can also just reduce the actual contrast along with color-saturation about your primary subject, serving to separate it from the background jumble. Think outside the box with all the many alternatives offered!

Have you ever dreamt of becoming a working professional photographer? A career that would allow you to spend every day working at something you love? How would your life change?
Well, if you aren’t making any money as a professional photographer, what’s holding you back?
If you are like most of us artists, you have a fairly low sense of your photo abilities. We tend to be afraid our work won’t “measure up” and we may even be laughed at. We tend to compare ourselves to the top pros working for the top magazines. Or, those astounding photo contest winners we see that take our breath away. We just know we could never compete with THAT, and so we give up our dreams and return to our everyday dream destroying, soul killing lives.
Big mistake!
Think about it for a moment, are those shots really the day in and day out images of a working professional? Nope. The magazine shots are usually the result of thousands of dollars worth of computer retouching - on top of the work of some of the most talented photographers. The contest winners are once in a lifetime shots! If they were the photographers normal work, they wouldn’t have bothered to enter the photo in a contest! And THAT’S what you are comparing yourself to? Not good.
Swing by the local mall, go to the first portrait studio you see, (there’s usually several) and watch for a little while. Soon, you’ll be saying to yourself, “I could do better than that!” Want a tip? You probably COULD do a better job.
Most of the mall photographers you see are part time kids - still living at home and working to earn a little extra spending money. They don’t have any special degrees or any special talent. The store manager spends a day or so working with them to teach them how to load the camera, helps them learn a few simple poses then turns them loose!
Most likely, they walked into the mall one day, saw a help wanted sign and thought, “That looks like an easy job!” Then they applied - got lucky - and were chosen. Or, just as likely, one of their friends works there and they got the job that way.
In other words, with no special talent or background, they stumbled into what you would think of as a dream job, but have always considered as out of your reach!
Let’s discuss their abilities and knowledge. (I’m hoping the standards are higher now!) Some time ago, I had a chance to talk with the manager of a local branch of a chain baby portrait studio. She’d been manager for three years and had NEVER even bothered to look and see what brand of camera she was using. When asked, she had no idea. AND I guess one lighting setup fits all because the lights were permanently attached to the wall.
Now, before I get a lot of hate mail from mall shooters - I’m sure some, possibly even a lot of you ARE very good shooters, know everything about photography and are conscientious at what you do. That wasn’t my point. The point is, to make a good living as a professional photographer you don’t have to be another Ansel Adams. You merely have to be competent at creating and shooting the basic poses that people buy. That’s it. It’s easy.
Then, once you learn the basic poses and lighting patterns, you need to learn a few time tested and proven marketing strategies. Ones that will have potential clients banging down your doors and clamoring for your services. To learn these, check out my website - the links are in my resources box. I believe ANYONE with an interest in photography and just a tiny bit of competency, can be making money with their camera within two weeks. By anyone, I mean YOU.
