Internet legal marketing is the surgical approach to marketing a law firm
I’m a fairly young lawyer; I started practicing in 2006. I joined a small firm where it was expected I would help get clients. I was young, eager, and armed with an MBA acquired before law school, I set out to get more clients. I knew not only did I want to bring in clients, but I wanted to attract clients that needed very specific legal services.
There’s no education like actually doing something; internet legal marketing is something I’ve done, and have done a fair amount of. The fact is I love it because it’s efficient and effective. We get the precise clients we’re looking for.
Internet legal marketing is still in its infancy and many lawyers do very little online marketing campaigns. That said, talking to colleagues, a growing percentage of law firms’ marketing budgets are being allocated to internet marketing and away from traditional marketing efforts such as Yellow Pages.
What’s also so great about online marketing, especially at this stage, is you don’t have to do it exceptionally well to get decent results. Don’t think perfection, just go out and do it. I strongly recommend learning it yourself so if you do hire some or a firm, you know what to look for.
I’ve discovered that the fraction of the amount I used to invest offline gets me a ton of internet legal marketing services. Now I manage our online campaign and outsource a good portion of it. The key is I now know who to hire and who to avoid.
Internet legal marketing is surgical
The reason search engine optimization (SEO) is so effective, when done well, is your clients come to you. They do a search, find your site (because you have excellent SEO, like your site, then call you. Traditional marketing required you to yell your information via radio, TV, and in print.
Using TV advertisements, for instance, is a massive waste. Think about it. You spend money on making the ad, then you spend even more airing it. The tragedy is most of your audience don’t need your services. You spend money getting your message to people who have absolutely no interest or need for what you offer.
That said, don’t leave this article thinking, “hey, we have a website and a blog with 20 posts, we’re all set.” You may or may not be all set. How many new clients do you get from the internet? How many visitors does your site get each month? If you don’t know the answers to these questions, then you need to find out. If they’re low, then you’ll see that simply having a website and a blog is not sufficient. You must optimize.
Now the good news: lawyers are ideal for internet legal marketing. Lawyers write and build knowledge for a living. Guess what? That knowledge and writing skill is exactly what gets excellent SEO results online. With a little keyword research know-how, you’ll quickly know how to optimize everything you publish - whether in your site or off your site.
The new rainmaking is done on the internet - whether using SEO and/or social media. Don’t get me wrong, word-of-mouth is still very powerful, but if you want exceptional growth at your firm, internet legal marketing is the way to do, specifically learning and doing excellent SEO.

Advertising is communicating the name of the product or service and how the product or service can benefit the consumer. An advertiser attempts to persuade prospective customers to purchase or to consume a particular brand of product or service. Advertising developed with mass production in the late 19th century.
The web banners or banner ad’s advertise on the World Wide Web. This advertising entails embedding an advertisement into a web page. And is intended to direct traffic to a website by linking to the website of the advertiser. The advertisement is constructed from an image (GIF, JPEG, PNG), Script program or multimedia object employing technologies such as Java, Shockwave or Flash, at times employing animation, sound, or video to escalate presence. Images are usually in a high-aspect ratio shape on that account the reference to banners. The images are usually placed on web pages that have appropriate content, such as a newspaper article or an assessment piece.
There are some affiliates earn money on a CPC (cost per click) basis, for every unique user click on the ad, the affiliate earns money. A typical web banner is sized 468-60 pixels. The banner is displayed when a reference to the banner is loaded into your browser. This event is known as an “impression”. When the viewer clicks on the banner, the viewer is directed to the website advertised in the banner. This is known as a “click through”.
Organizations that spend money on advertising promote items other than a consumer product or service include political parties, interest groups, religious organizations and governmental agencies. Non-profit organizations may rely on free modes of persuasion, such as a public service announcement. What is needed to know is that there are several ways to work as an affiliate for any type of sales.
The advertiser then scans their logfiles and detects that a web user has visited the advertiser’s site from the content site by clicking on the banner ad, the advertiser sends the content provider some small amount of money. This pay system is often how the provider pays for the Internet access to supply the content. Advertisers use ad networks to serve their advertisements, resulting in a revenue share system and higher quality ad placement.
Functioning the same way as traditional advertisements do by notifying consumers of the product and/or service and presenting reasons why the consumer should choose the product in question, web banners differ in that the results for advertisement campaigns may be monitored real-time and may be targeted to the viewer’s interests.
Many surfers think these advertisements are annoying because they distract from a web page’s content or waste bandwidth. The purpose of the banner ad is to attract attention and advertisers try to get that attention to bring business in. Without attracting attention it would provide no revenue for the advertiser or for the content provider. Some new web browsers may include options to disable pop-ups or block images from selected websites. Another way of avoiding banners is to use a proxy server that blocks them.
Commercial advertisers want to increase utilization of their products or services through branding, which involves the repetition of a product name or service in an effort to associate the qualities of the brand in the minds of consumers. Different types of media are used, traditional media such as web banners, newspapers, magazines, television, radio, billboards or direct mail. Advertising can be placed by you on behalf of a company or other organization this is affiliate marketing.

The Internet has greatly changed the way consumers do business. In the last 10 years, consumers have increasingly relied on the Internet to find businesses. Not only are consumers using the Internet to buy from large, national retailers, but they are using it to find local businesses as well. Searching for companies online is easy and convenient. With lightning fast search engines, consumers can have everything they need at their fingertips within seconds. As a result of this paradigm shift, businesses are increasing their investment in web marketing and search engine marketing methods. These forward-thinking companies realize the importance of online marketing, and its effect on the future of their businesses.
Gone are the days of the big yellow business directories, where consumers would flip through thousands of categories to find a tiny business listing. Nowadays, consumers rely on the Web, where they can get detailed information about a company and make more informed buying decisions. Finding a business on the Web is fast, easy and convenient.
Thanks to the latest technologies such as broadband Internet, most people have a constant connection to the Internet. Not only do they have Internet access from home, but they can take their connections with them using a wireless connection. If they want to make a purchase online, from home or on the road, the transaction can be completed instantly using a credit card.
For consumers who like to shop around before making a purchase, the Internet makes it easy to contact a business. Without human intervention, a prospect can send an email or complete a contact form to get in touch with a business. If they have questions, they can often find answers by going to a website.
In this digital age, every company should have an online presence. Every business should also be engaged in online marketing. The Internet plays an increasingly important role in business commerce. If a company is not online, there is a good chance that it may not be able to survive.
Some companies that do business on the local level believe it is unnecessary to invest in web marketing. This is a misconception. The truth is consumers are using the Internet to find everything from a local florist to the pizza parlor or new spa around the corner. Local or national, businesses should be accessible to consumers online. Having a website and investing in marketing to help increase online exposure is a good start.
Web marketing is relatively less expensive than traditional marketing. Whether you invest in search engine optimization, keyword advertising, article marketing or other proven methods, you will find this type of marketing more cost effective.
Hiring a web marketing professional or agency is a good idea for those who do not have experience in this area. Professional online marketers have years of experience, are a great resource. They can provide web marketing consulting as well as assist with your online marketing campaigns and track results.

Traffic of a site is regarded as the lifeblood of the site and it has much to do with the business. More visitors equal more sales. However, here are some ways that you can tweak your sites with to improve sales without the need to get more visitors.
The first method is to weave in your personal touch in your sales message. Nobody wants to be sold to by a total stranger, but many people will buy what their close friends recommend to them. If you can convince your audience that you are a personal friend who has their best interest at heart, they will be convinced to buy your products. Remember to speak to an individual in your salesletter, not to your whole audience.
The second method is to publish testimonials and comments from your customers. A good idea would be to publish both good and bad comments; that way prospects will be really convinced that these testimonials are real. When prospects see testimonials on your website, they will have the confidence to buy from you because human beings follow the herd mentality; when others have bought and proven it authentic, they will jump on the bandwagon and buy too.
Use visual representations for the problems and solutions that your product offers. Not everyone will read your text copy from the head to the tail, but most people will pay attention to images on your website.
Offer quality bonuses to accompany the product. When you offer bonuses that complement your product, your prospects will feel it’s a very good deal and it would be stupid to miss it. Be sure to state the monetary value of your bonuses so that people will be even more compelled to grab your good bargain.
Lastly, ask for the sale! Many people entice their prospects with the benefits of their product, sell to them with stories of how it has solved many problems, even offered killer bonuses but forget to ask for the sale. Give a clear instruction on how to buy your product (e.g. “click the button to buy now!”).

When you are looking for information about a specific topic on the internet, you need to be careful about the source of the information, and you should probably consult multiple sites to see if the information is consistent. For all of the web sites out there providing valid information, there are numerous web sites out there with incorrect information, especially when it comes to social networking web sites.
First he goes on to say that social media sites aren’t easy to use. Well, one must wonder where he is getting his information from since there are people of all ages using these sites and are successful at using them regularly. One would think that if you are a person who is running a business you would at least be able to sign up for an account with Twitter or Facebook that just require a few minutes of your time and some basic information right?
There are also claims on the internet that the use of social networking sites by business can be costly for these businesses. Again, these claims are very far from the truth. Social networking sites are free to use by anyone or any business, so in that regard there is no cost for advertising on a social networking site. In terms of the cost of the time it takes to maintain these social networking sites, any advertising or marketing strategy is going to cost you time. If you invest anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes a day, to maintain a social networking site for your business, and that is the only expense your business will incur for this advertising, it seems it would be worth to reach the large audience that social networks provide.
The last outrageous claim made in web postings, about businesses and social media web sites, is that the use of the sites is a waste of time, since businesses will not attract any real customers from these sites. There are literally millions and millions of people who use social media web sites, and users of these sites fit into almost every demographic group you can think of. These sites are a great way to reach millions of potential customers at one time, in a quick and cost efficient way. Even if your ideal market is only a small percentage of these millions of users, isn’t it worth it to try to reach out to them, and anyone other potential customers that you may not even have considered marketing to? When it comes to social media web sites, the power to reach out to so many people at once is what is so attractive to businesses.
There are many reasons why inaccurate information ends up on the internet. Sometimes the people posting this information have been min-informed themselves, sometimes they are just writing their personal opinion, and other times there are ulterior motives, and these people are purposely being misleading. Either way, the fact is that using social networking sites is a great way for businesses to advertise and reach millions of potential customers quickly and inexpensively.
There are many seo companies that will offer you the best service possible, but how do you know they can deliver on their offers. If you are looking for a reputable search engine optimization company visit www.seomoves.co.uk.

The internet has brought about several new challenges for businesses. Conducting business world wide can represent an excellent technique for expanding your business particularly in wearisome economical times. When you consider it, you will come to the realization that, while one nation is down some other one is plausibly upwards.
Certainly conducting business universally cab be to everyone’s vantage however it exhibits the challenges of a different spoken language as well as dialects and let’s face it almost all individuals speak one or possibly two languages fluently however this in all likelihood will not cover everyplace You will wish toconduct business with. For this reason, internet translation services are certainly fantastic business instruments. They come in extremly convenient while attempting to translate an e-mail sent by a foreign client or while attempting to interpret an internet site that’s composed in a foreign language.
Up until now you could access free translation services from Bing, Yahoo or Google, but they required that you cut and paste the text into a translation box which can not only be a hassle but many times only offers a very loose translation of the other language, leaving much room for interpretation.
Now Google is offering a much better and more accurate solution to cutting and pasting text into a translation site. This latest tool is called Google Chrome beta for Windows and with this tool, whenever you bring up a web page that is not being displayed in your default language, Chrome will ask if you would like the page translated. With one click on the Translate button you will very simply view the entire web page in your default language.
And while Chrome is definitely simpler to use for translating web content, it even has been proven to be a more accurate translation than that which is provided by Bing or Babelfish about 80% of the time. This means better communication with business customers and clients from around the world. There is nothing better for your multinational business than a translation service that is easy to use and translates text of all languages with increased accuracy. Leave it to Google to improve the way that the world does business.

There’s a whole lot hype inside the Search engine optimisation industry probably because it is a techno field plus is very competitive so everyone is endeavouring to eyebrow everyone else and get the upper edge.
Being in my antiquated 40’s - hippy 1965 baby to be exact - I have been around the IT industry well before most of the current players were out of diapers. I was there in our computer room when they unveiled the latest hard drive - it looked like a modern day top-loader washer and was the same size! All up it held a ‘breath-taking’ 40 Meg of data. Yes that is right 40 Meg! When we saw the new micro PC’s come out we felt they would never take off (we must have had IBM blood in us!) and the IT journey went on from there.
Today my ‘long teeth’ dip in my beer and my eyeballs roll back in their sockets when I hear some of the hype plastered around the SEO playing field.
Yes Search engine optimization can be technical but only usually after you got it completely wrong in the beginning - your website that is. If you did not employ an Search engine optimisation advisor to provide you with the rundown Before you decide to start building then you probably ended up with a web site pierced with a zillion Search engine optimization holes. Websites like these normally takes some fixing for sure. Most web creative designers don’t know anything about SEO and what they do know they almost never implement due to the fact they are certainly not requested to by you! Not selecting a good Search engine optimization consultant is like developing a 3 storey residence without using an architect and engineer and expecting the builder to get it right - no way.
I come across a great SEO site once in every 100 sites. It is a weak track record for web-developers. Every other single website is a ship filled with holes sinking in the lower regions of page 196 of Google!
So apart from adding some vibrant pros to this piece I suppose I should add some substance. Well here it is - short and simple (well maybe not that short!)
Content is King
Google uses back links a lot right now to judge a web sites popularity. However, it is now a piece of cake to generate back links of good quality in large amounts to unbalance the ranking game. Google knows it has to find a way to balance this out. When it does, most people’s position will certainly come crashing to the floor overnight.
On the other hand, Google always wants QUALITY content - the best it can display. Should you have this, then because content is the only reason why we have search engines like google in the first place, your website will invariably do well regardless of what twists and turns Google puts its search engine algorithms through.
In no way ever forget that content is king in the Search engine optimization jungle. Forget at your peril.
We struggled to get content material on customers sites for so long until we built it into our Search engine optimisation ranking packages. We now offer a content and back-linking service (SEO.SIMPLE.) that solves this inherent problem. Now our clients get fresh unique content on their internet sites weekly and gain ranking results from it seeing it is Search engine optimisation optimised as well.
Your content delivery engines needs to be well tuned
Don’t think that anyone can easily simply add content to a site and miss out on the platform you will be adding it to. Google wants to ensure that the content material is not just the best for the keyword requested, but it also offers the best user experience. So ensure you cross your T’s and dot your Search engine optimisation eyes when it comes to ensuring your website provides the best experience such as performing these :
Ensure your server is quick - Google a short while ago added this one - upgrade right now if it takes too long to load your pages
Ensure ALL images have ALT tags WITH purposeful content
Make sure every page has a UNIQUE page title relevant to the content of the page
Fix Canonical issues (were http://www.yoursite.com and http://yoursite.com and http://www.yoursite.com/index.php etc all resolve to the same page but have different addresses. Instead they should all redirect to a single page and that page should be utilised throughout the site in all links. If you are on a UNIX based server this can be fixed quickly usually through the htaccess file)
Make sure there are no less than 300 words of meaningful text on any page - the more the better for Google
Make certain that if you are utilizing a Website cms that the URL’s are fixed so only phrases appear (and preferably keywords) and not funny programming expressions and numbers
Whenever you create a link use a keyword(s) and not the notorious ‘click here’ as the anchor text
If you cannot add content to your website (maybe you have a flash site), then at the least add a blog attached to your website - this helps a lot
When you next renew your current domain, renew for at least 3 years - of course longevity shows maturity and increases trust
Inbound links and more back links
And lastly don’t stop back-linking. Right now it’s the powerhouse for SEO but don’t rely on this for the future.
So I hope this has helped ‘de-hype’ some of the SEO materials available and helped you along the Search engine optimisation road a little bit further.

You’ve taken the first step towards getting your name out to a bigger audience, and that’s by putting up a website. But you’re starting to get discouraged, because even though it’s been up for a while now, your numbers are pretty dismal. You see it every day when you look at your site tracker; there are only a dozen or so visitors, and that’s a far cry from all the other websites out there which rake in visitors by the thousands. You’re probably feeling quite discouraged already, and you’re thinking that your website was just a huge waste of time, effort and money.
You shouldn’t just quit, however. There are several factors that contribute to a website’s poor performance, and one of those includes what is written on your website. If you don’t have the right keywords, then anybody doing a search for what you’re offering or specializing in will not be able to find you. You can optimize your website’s content if you want to improve it. In this situation, you’re going to have to work with an experienced Internet marketing firm to give you a hand.
An Internet marketing firm is simply a company that can help your company and your website gain more visibility online by improving your website’s content and implementing other online marketing strategies. Such strategies include conducting article and blog marketing, ensuring that your website’s text has keywords appropriate for your particular industry or field, although that is a small fraction of what an Internet marketing firm does for your website.
Where do you find reliable Internet marketing firms? You can find nearly all of them online–and you can be sure that you’ll find them because they surely must be implementing their own techniques for their own websites. The problem you have to face then is to select the right firm who can work with you and can understand your needs. The right Internet marketing firm for you should have a proven track record of improving its clients’ websites’ performance. You should also check whether the firm has experience in Internet marketing for websites or companies such as yours. Most importantly, you also need to find out if the methods the firm implements are allowed by the search engines; some unscrupulous firms out there do anything to garner traffic.
Choosing an Internet marketing firm is a smart move for you to make to get your website going. But choosing the right one is an even more important step to take, so be smart in doing your research.
When you are looking for a professional seo company you want to be sure that the company is strong in two things. First you want them to be willing to tailor their services specifically to your site. Second you want the professional seo consultant to be always looking for new techniques and ideas. SEO is always evolving and you want your service to evolve with it.
