Web-based ERP software is an investment that can have substantial return for a business that wants to create more synergy in their core functions. Making the commitment of time and money that is required to find and establish the right web-based ERP system in a business requires planning and research as well as a careful comparison of the functions and features of each system.
ERP software programs have a broad range of functions and choosing the system that will be most effective for your specific needs may be difficult. The program that is selected must have the flexibility to be adapted to the unique characteristics and processes of the business and have a history of successful implementation in other industries such as yours. Some businesses will not need an ERP that has features that allow for multi-language, multi-currency, and global transaction analysis. However, if your company has, or will, need these features the software you choose must have the ability to meet those needs.
Developing detailed reports of each of the software systems that are being considered will be helpful in narrowing the field of providers. Many ERP systems focus on specific core functions. For example, a world renowned ERP system has developed a reputation by developing a human resources ERP that is unsurpassed.
A company with a need for an ERP in their human resources department would be very happy with this provider. However, if the need was in manufacturing, tracking, processing, ordering, and building of widgets, the software would not be a viable choice.
After identifying the core issues that the ERP program will be addressing, you will want to develop details on how these areas function within your business. Businesses often have unique methods for processing, tracking, and operating their organization. The ERP that you select will need to be able to meet your needs and function within those processes. By having details available for the provider when you interview them, they will be able to gauge their ability to serve you and determine what type of modifications will be required to make the software program most effective for your needs.
The software will also need to meet the needs of the corporate culture of the organization. Many ERP systems are designed to provide big picture transaction reports that give a broad brush reflection of the operations of the core functions. A CEO or CIO who is very hands-on and likes to have the details of core functions on a regular basis will become very frustrated with a system that is locked and prevents the level of corporate control that is desired.
Once the field of providers has been narrowed and preliminary interviews have been held, an on-site demonstration will help to find the most appropriate software for your organization. It will be important that staff who will be working with the software be given an opportunity to test the system and work with each program to give input on the effectiveness of each program.
The final review of the right web-based ERP software system will be determined after several weeks or months of investigation and evaluation. Once a decision has been made on the right system, it will be necessary for the leadership team to commit to the effort that will be required to implement the system and join the functions of the organization.

Popular ’shrink-wrap solutions’ QuickBooks and Peachtree have been the launching point for many a business. These products are easy to use, flexible, and with the built-in two dimensional reporting, are outstanding for accounting, and even some advanced application areas like project billing and procurement management.
The programs offer accounting and projects programs. Some software programs do not offer the extensive programs that an expanding business needs. When an expanding company needs to have the ability to combine financing with customer records that may be a reason why a company would need to look for a better program that can handle their needs.
If you are running a simple sales force automation system like ACT!, Salesforce.com or Goldmine and the quoting and customer master records are not tied to your accounting systems items, that may be another. In both these examples, integrated systems allow you standardized pricing by customer, item, promotion or even dealer (partner).
The biggest justification may come with people running simple production planning and scheduling functions on spreadsheets. Using the right web hosting service will be one of the most important decisions you will ever make with your online business. Why? Because the web hosting service you choose will surely make or break your Internet business.
Today I am going to talk about two types of servers, one is Virtual Web Hosting and the other is Virtual Private Servers.
Lately,Virtual Web Hosting has been the only way to go when choosing a web server. One of the reasons that Virtual Web Hosting became so popular was because they supported the necessary files and allowed you to have more freedom than other conventional web hosting accounts. But now you can have more freedom than ever before with Virtual Private Servers. Moreover, Virtual Private Servers should not be confused with Virtual Hosts, because they are completely different types of accounts.
Before I go any further I must explain what the difference is between a Virtual Host and a Virtual Private Server, so that you can fully understand. In this article I will also go over the advantages and disadvantages of both types of servers, to help you decide which is right for you and your business. Let’s get started with Virtual Hosting.
Virtual Hosting
Virtual Hosting, also known as Shared Web Hosting, where you are sharing a physical server and a single set of software applications with other users. Virtual Hosting has been extremely popular in the past for its fast deployment, strong resources, and most importantly for being cheap web hosting. Another advantage to Virtual Hosting is that you have a powerful, reliable, and professionally managed web hosting account without having to learn advanced technical skills, making it ideal for an individual, small business, or even a beginning web master.
The disadvantage of Virtual Hosting is that you are sharing the server with other users. The server is configured and controlled by an administrator, not you. So basically you have your hands tied behind your back, because you have to contact the administrator every time you need to adjust or change your server’s configuration settings. Even if you managed to get a hold of the administrator, they may not fulfill your request. It’s up to them to help you or not to help you. They are the administrator. If you were the administrator, you wouldn’t have these limitations and would have total control.
Virtual Private Servers
Virtual Private Servers are usually the best choice these days and for a very good reason. Before I get into the advantages of a Virtual Private Server, let me explain what it is. A Virtual Private Server is a single server that is partitioned at the root into multiple dedicated servers. This allows you to share the cost of the network connectivity, hardware, and system maintenance with other web hosting customers, while maintaining your flexibility and freedom.
The advantage of Virtual Private Servers is that they allow you to have complete control over your web hosting account. They have the security advantages of a dedicated server at the fraction of the cost. Among other things, you have access to the virtual root, Telnet, web configuration files, full CGI-BIN access, your password, aliases file, and send mail configuration file. You can see that a Virtual Private Server is an excellent solution for Internet businesses.
There is one disadvantage with Virtual Private Servers. You need to have some program knowledge to control and configure the settings. Sounds overwhelming, most businesses that offer Virtual Private Servers have very detailed manuals making them easy to configure and control no matter what your technical skills are. HostEasier.com has an excellent support staff, making them our number one choice of web hosting service providers.
Which one is right for you? Well, that all depends on you and the size of your network.
Just one web site and have absolutely no programming knowledge? Then Virtual Hosting is the recommended and cheapest way for you to go. A Virtual Host can cost anywhere around $10 a month for an account, rather than $35 and up for a Virtual Private Server.
If you have a larger network that requires multiple web sites, and you have some technical skills, then a Virtual Private Server is perfect for you. You can host many web sites on a Virtual Private Server account, instead of having multiple Virtual Hosting accounts, which will cost you more money per month.
When it comes time to get a web server, make sure that the server fits your needs and that it supports the essential software for a prosperous online business. We personally give a 5-STAR rating to HostEasier.com because of their low prices, reliability, and excellent 24/7 customer support staff. They really care and really can help you solve your server problems.

Technology is the lifeblood of the modern business. A business without a strong digital base and web presence these days is scarcely a business at all.
The problem is that unless your business operates specifically in a technological field, it can be tough to keep up with the finer points of computers and networking. A lot of business end up spending fortunes trying to maintain an in-house IT department that’s often more trouble than it’s worth. There is another solution, however, and that’s fully managed hosting.
Fully managed hosting allows you to completely outsource your information technology needs to a group of trained experts, thereby freeing up your IT department for other tasks or removing the need for an IT group altogether. This means that you can focus more on core business concerns and not have to divert attention to random computer problems.
While such services are by no means cheap to employ, it is well worth the price and can save a lot of money in the long run over an in-house tech group. So how does fully managed hosting work, and how can it help solve your personal or business needs?
When you contract with a fully managed hosting service, then you give over the day-to-day maintenance of your IT infrastructure over to an outside agency. This can include your web servers, applications, databases, and more. All of your data is moved onto their servers, which has a few benefits.
First of all, managed hosting companies are always on the cusp of technological advancements. You no longer have to spend money building and maintaining new technology, giving your business an easy way to scale up as the business grows and technology marches on. While you are in some ways sharing resources with other companies that use the same service, this won’t negatively impact the quality of your business at all. You also have a support advantage.
People at the managed hosting service will not only be performing preventative maintenance on the servers, but they’re also available around the clock to help deal with any emergency situations that crop up. Plus, they’ll be monitoring your systems regularly, so any potential problems won’t go unnoticed for long. Also, you can feel comfortable that your IT network is extremely secure from any virtual threats. And, if all else fails, most fully managed hosting services offer complete backup of all of your data. So even if something catastrophic happens, all of your information will be safe and easily recoverable.
Fully managed hosting services can be an especially effective option for small but growing businesses. Their ability to help a small business meet it’s IT needs for a reasonable price is unmatched - it’s often far more economical than hiring an extensive on-site IT team. Perhaps the nicest thing about fully managed services is the peace of mind they provide. You can always rest assured, comfortable that if an IT problem arises with your business, it will be taken care of without hassle or stress.

This review of Guard Your Place will measure and evaluate the business and opportunity presented by the company based on our research and my opinion with over 15 years in the home-based business industry. Our intent is to attempt to answer some key questions as to whether GuardYourPlace is an opportunity worth pursuing.
Of course, within this review, we want to evaluate and answer a prominent first question on most people’s minds: is GuardYourPlace A scam or is it a legitimate business opportunity? We will attempt to answer that question within this article by providing some relevant facts and then drawing a conclusion.
I prefer to look at certain facts in a typical review to help determine the strength of a company.
1. Extraordinary Product
2. Exceptional leadership
3. The actual offer, ie; What is their unique selling proposition?
Experience has shown, this set of criteria will be of great benefit as an aid to determine whether Guard Your Place will be a hit. It seems, after careful research, they are off to a good start. There are some credible testimonials surrounding the service itself. To be clear, the Guard Your Place product is really a service that allows you to visually monitor your home or business remotely from anywhere in the world through a computer or cell phone web browser.
Normal use for a homeowner may be the ability to monitor your property while away at work or vacation, keep a watchful eye on a nanny or babysitter or to make sure your kids arrive safely home at a certain time of day. A business owner can watch employees, monitor expensive equipment or product and reduce theft. Guard Your Place has the ability to set the camera to detect motion and then send pictures instantly to you when motion or movement is detected. Images can be sent via email or text alert.
GuardYourPlace is boasting a fast, easy and affordable solution or alternative to the more expensive traditional security system or video monitoring system, the Guard Your Place system also allows for the use of off-the-shelf components such as a computer, USB camera and cell phone. Chances are, many homes and business will already have the necessary equipment to get this system up and working in just a few minutes time.
In my experience, the service is definitely unique and has a very useful purpose. After all, I sense a great need for safe-guarding your family and property. Now, Lets take a look at leadership. Pierre Charbonneau is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Guard Your Place and was instrumental in the development of the program. A little research shows he is also the Chairman and CEO of EGlobal Partner and is very actively involved with several charitable organizations specifically to aid and help soldiers, policemen and firemen. I visited a couple of noteworthy web sites, onsightsupport.org and stepupforsoldiers.org.
Another officer and partner is Granger Soward, the President of Guard Your Place and also Deputy Fire Chief for Carolina Beach, NC. Research shows, Mr. Soward is involved with several charitable events and clubs. An internet search for Mr. Soward reveals much in the way of the charitable functions he has been involved with. Obviously, the leaders of Guard Your Place have a caring attitude and a desire to help those people in need. It seems, we have concluded that GuardYourPlace has a desirable product and that the leadership possess some good qualities now, allow us to investigate a unique selling proposition. The people with Guard Your Place have informed me and it is on their web site as well, they are offering an affordable service as well as a home-based business opportunity that literally anyone can become involved with. There is a free trial period and a low monthly fee thereafter with no contractual commitments. The service allows for the ability to visually monitor your premises 24/7. You have the option to market the service yourself and earn residual income, all for the same monthly premium, which is currently set at $19.95 per month.
My analysis did not find any negatives with regard to the company, the product or the leadership. It seems and I believe that Guard Your Place the service and the business end are a legitimate offer possessing much uniqueness. To date, I know of no other company offering such a service matched with the potential to earn residual income as a home-based business opportunity.

If you want to be successful as an insurance agent, you need to find leads. But not all leads are equally effective. Qualified insurance leads are the only ones that will help you truly build up your business. All too often, it’s easy to be duped into purchasing outdated or recycled leads that will get you nowhere. These are usually the cheapest option, for obvious reasons.
Is there any way to know whether you’re getting qualified insurance leads that will actually bring you new business? The answer is a resounding yes! Use the following strategies to evaluate insurance leads before you spend more of your hard earned money on dead end prospects:
Spend some time looking into the company you’re thinking of working with. There are many flashy websites that make grandiose promises of providing qualified insurance leads, but you can’t always judge a book by its cover. Make it a priority to network with other agents online or offline to find out what experiences they have had with the company. If others have gotten solid leads, you can purchase from the company with confidence.
Choose a company that will give your money back for bogus leads. Even the best companies sometimes let a bad lead or two slip through, but if they’re willing to offer you a money back guarantee, this is a good sign that the company is legitimate.
Exercise caution in purchasing shared leads. Sometimes companies will claim to only sell the lead to 4 other agents, but when you call the prospect, you encounter an angry diatribe from someone who’s already received 10 similar calls. While you might convert some of these leads, keep a close eye on the true cost by figuring out how much you have to pay before converting one of these leads.
Try to buy fresh leads. While a prospect may have been a qualified insurance lead at one time, leads go cold after a while. You’ll find that the person has already signed on with another agent, or has had time to change his or her mind about the necessity of buying insurance. Current leads are crucially important. When buying fresh leads, be sure to act on them before they go stale.
Be cautious about leads generated from companies that also sell insurance. If you purchase these leads, it’s possible that these are leads from sales that the company was unable to convert. While this doesn’t mean it’s impossible to make the sale, you’ll want to keep close tabs on your results with these kinds of leads.
While it may seem like buying leads is often hit or miss, you can increase your chances of getting the most for your money by buying qualified insurance leads. Make sure you prepare ahead of time, and monitor which leads are easiest to convert. Measure conversion rates against lead costs to find out what is most effective for you. Using these strategies will help you get the best insurance leads to keep your business competitive.

With the rise of the Internet and the convenience of online shopping you can privately shop for your lingerie in the comfort of your own home. Nothing is nicer than being able to sit there in your comfortable pajamas or evening lingerie late at night and shop for your lingerie. I don’t know about you, but I like to think about lingerie late in the evening so that’s when I like to shop for my lingerie.
The benefits of online shopping go beyond the obvious advantage of being able to shop in the privacy of your own home. You also get an incredibly large selection of lingerie styles, sizes and colors to choose from. If you’re looking for more risque’ or fetish type lingerie you will be able to find it online and not have to suffer the stigma associated with going to a specialty store.
You will want to be sure and protect yourself from credit card fraud and identity theft when buying online by following some simple guidelines. Always make sure you buy from a reputable seller like Amazon.com. Amazon has an enormous selection of women’s lingerie styles and sizes to choose from. Amazon also has an extremely secure checkout system that will guard your personal information and credit card number.
You can also save money buying plus size lingerie on eBay as well as getting eBay’s excellent buyer protection. You can get a second level of buyer protection when purchasing from eBay if you pay for your purchases using Paypal. You can get a full refund for your purchase if you don’t receive your item or if it is significantly different from it’s description when you receive it.
Another way to protect yourself when buying lingerie online is to have a credit card that you use only for online purchases. I have a credit card that I use to buy online and I have it set to a very low purchase limit. If that card ever becomes compromised the charges will not be very high. I can also check this credit card’s transactions online very easily to see if there are any unusual charges coming through on it.
There are a couple downsides to buying your lingerie online. You can’t try things on before you buy them when purchasing lingerie online. Of course, a lot of stores won’t let you try lingerie on before you buy it either. It also takes a little more effort to return an item you’ve bought online.
It’s obvious that simply for the huge selection and wonderful privacy buying your lingerie online is the way to go. Buying from reputable sellers with good exchange and refund policies will give you great peace of mind when shopping online. The bigger sellers will also have the most secure checkout systems that will protect your personal information.
One final piece of advice concerning using sizing charts when purchasing lingerie online. If you buy from the same lingerie supplier more than once you will be able to guage sizes better from the pieces you purchased previously. Becoming a repeat customer really helps you with sizing on future purchases.
You don’t have to drive to the local mall or lingerie specialty shop to purchase your lingerie any longer. No more having to put up with the shopper next to you scrutinizing your lingerie purchases. You don’t have to suffer the embarrassment of asking an attendant if they have your lingerie in a larger size. Ladies, stay at home and shop for your lingerie in peace and comfort!
